A little bit about me and the inspiration behind my art -

My name is Molly and I am the creator behind Seneca Avenue Arts. I live in Queens, New York City with my partner and beloved 16 year old dog.

I have been making art in various forms all my life, but I am particularly drawn to the medium of textured paintings because of the versatility, simplicity, abstract nature, embrace of imperfection, and endless possibilities. From sleek, modern minimalism to bold, colorful boho, textured art can make the perfect addition to any space, for any style.

I’m inspired by natural light and shadows, soft, calming shapes and lines, interesting and unexpected color combinations, beauty in imperfection, and finding the extraordinary in the little details of ordinary everyday things.

I am always creating, evolving, and adding more pieces - follow my Etsy shop and Instagram (@SenecaAvenueArts) to stay updated.

I also do commissions and love working with people to create exactly what they’re looking for - feel free to message me with any and all questions or requests.

I hope you find something here that you or someone you know will love. Thank you for visiting. ✨

Additional information:

I now offer framing! I currently have a very limited amount of frames available for select paintings. My frames are beautifully handcrafted out of high quality local walnut/pine in my hometown (Eau Claire, WI) by a master woodworker and longtime family friend. Just like the paintings they hold, each frame is totally one of a kind.
I will be offering more framing options in the future; in the meantime, please message me to inquire about having a frame custom built.

My paintings are all made on enforced back-stapled canvas with the texture and color details extended around all sides of the canvas, so while framing is a beautiful option it is absolutely not required. Unframed paintings can be hung easily using nails, thumbtacks, or even 3M strips depending on the size. If you have specific hanging needs, let me know and I can add frame hooks and/or mounting wire to the back of the canvas free of charge.

I offer free shipping within the US - typical delivery time is 1-5 business days. Please specify if you need something by a certain date and I will do my very best to accommodate. I also offer local pickup for a discount - message me for details if interested.

I package everything with care and try my best to do so in an environmentally friendly way (the eco-friendly paper bubble wrap I use can be recycled normally, and many big box stores offer plastic recycling for traditional bubble wrap). If anything arrives damaged, please notify me and I will be happy to help find a solution.

I take photos of my paintings in natural lighting to show the colors as accurately as possible - however, due to differences in screen settings, it is possible the colors will vary *slightly* from what you see in photos.

It is incredibly important to me that everyone who purchases my art loves it as much as I loved making it. Please reach out with any questions, concerns, or requests you may have!
